Dedicated to the memory of Mark Hollis.

I discovered Mark Hollis and Talk Talk when I first moved to Canada in 2004. I caught their video for the song "Talk Talk" one day and was instantly hooked and we went out and bought the album on vinyl right after. Being a fan of a lot of 80's synth pop, I loved the album. Yet, I had a feeling there was something more to them. I researched their discography and found out they had released only 5 albums and Hollis a solo. I bought them all and put myself to work digesting this rather brief catalog of material and what I heard astonished me. Each album was progressively more diverse... sparse... emotional... artistic... unrelenting. I'd never heard a band change so much in so few releases and do it so incredibly fluid. I was blown away. They are a rare band that I can listen to and still feel exactly the same excitement I felt the very first time I experienced them. Many artists have shaped how I view music now. Mark Hollis was definitely one of the biggest influences and why I shifted toward a minimal approach in my own music. A less-is-more ideal.

So this is my dedication to a true artist who brought me so much beautiful music. Everything about this release is dedicated to his memory and influence. The album title and songs are taken from his lyrics. The art was influenced by Talk Talk's own album covers. The release date, April 5th, is a song title from The Colour of Spring.

I hope you enjoy this rather lengthy but straight-from-the-heart release.
